Heraa Academy (Cairo, Egypt) is the controller of the personal data collected through this website and student portal.
Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, phone number, time zone, and the student's age where provided by a parent or guardian.
Learning data: bookings, lesson schedules, attendance, teacher notes, homework and uploaded lesson materials.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Payment data: processed directly by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and order details only — full card numbers are never stored by us.
Why we use it
To create and manage your account, schedule and deliver lessons, process payments, send service emails such as booking confirmations and reminders, provide support, prevent fraud, and improve our teaching and platform.
We rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the Academy, your consent where required (e.g. marketing emails), and compliance with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers who host our platform, deliver our email, and run our online classroom; our payment provider for processing transactions, invoicing and tax compliance; professional advisers; and authorities where required by law. We never sell personal data.
Retention
We keep account and learning records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements, after which data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy of your data, or withdraw consent at any time. Email heraaarabicacademy@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security and cookies
Data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure, and lessons are delivered over secure connections. We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and currency preferences.
Children
Accounts for children are created and supervised by a parent or guardian, who consents to our processing of the child's data for the purpose of delivering lessons.
